Our season of science continues with Minecraft Coding for 3-5th grade this week.
“Hour of Code” is an online organization that introduces children to computer science and
coding. In cooperation with the Hinsdale Library we are offering Minecraft Hour of
Code Sessions on Feb. 22nd and Feb 24th during remote learning either 10 am or 2 pm. If you have not signed up you may do so here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0A4EA4A92BA4F94-minecraft
If you have signed up you will receive the Zoom link TODAY 2/21.
On Friday March 5th at 6:30pm we will have another virtual interactive presentation by a scientist and
researcher Dr. Gutierrez on the science of paint and paint chromatography. We will be sending
home some supplies and details for the experiments by March 3rd.
The second week of March we will have a 1 week STEM Challenge for K-5th grades from March
8th -12th . The students will receive home a STEM related question in their red folder which they
will answer on that paper and return the next day. If they answer correctly, the signed paper
will act as a raffle ticket and go into a classroom bucket of answers. On Friday March 8th one
winning ticket will be pulled at each a.m. and p.m. class by the teacher.
