10:00-10:30am: Grades 3, 4, 5 (in the gym)

Kindergarten PM will perform on December 21st at 2:00 (in the music room)

Oak Spirit Wear Reopened!

Based on the popularity of the Oak School spirit wear and requests to place more orders, the Oak School spirit wear web store has re-opened!

Order now through the end of Friday, December 22nd.

Spirit wear will be delivered by mid-January 2024.

TUESDAY 12/19...Safety Drill!

Lockdown Safety Drill:

On Tuesday, December 19th at 2:30 pm will conduct a lockdown drill that will include Hinsdale police. During this drill, teachers will utilize the linked Google Slides to instruct students.

We understand that some parents/guardians may want to opt out of this type of drill for their child(ren). As the parent/guardian, you have the option to exempt your child, for any reason, from this drill.

If you choose to exempt your child from the drill, you must notify Effey Nassis at enassis@d181.org

no later than the day prior (12/18) to the drill.

Please join Oak Moms on at J.McLaughlin in Hinsdale to finish up your holiday shopping. J.McLaughlin will provide festive sips, bites and shopping. 15% of all proceeds will benefit Oak School PTO.

2nd Trimester Lunch-In Sign-up!

Myfooddays.com will open for 2nd trimester Lunch-In purchases on Monday, 12/4 at 7am.

There are 19 lunches from January through March. The deadline will be Friday, 12/15 at 3pm.

Volunteer sign ups will also be available on 12/4.

Please limit sign ups to 3 to allow all families an opportunity to volunteer.

If you would like to be added to the sub list or have any questions regarding Lunch-In, contact

Denys Kang at lunchin@oakpto.org.

Lunch-In is available to all students. The PTO offers financial assistance to any student. Contact the principal or office for details.

In 1953, Dwight D. Eisenhower was sworn in as President of the United States, minimum wage was $0.75 an hour and our treasured and priceless Oak School opened its doors for the 1st time.
