Lunch-In Ordering/Volunteer Sign up NOW open!
8/28/2023 8:48 pm
The Lunch-In program is a PTO organized program that provides fresh hot lunches delivered from local vendors to Oak students. The program raises funds to support PTO events and educational programs throughout the school year. This year, Oak School is partnering with Jimmy John’s, Potbelly, Home Run Inn, Culver’s, and Great American Bagel to offer a variety of lunch options twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
Lunch orders are placed on MyFoodDays.com for the first half of the school year (September through December). To order, families new to myFoodDays will need to register and add your child/ren to your account.
All families will be required to update their classroom teachers before ordering.
Families can start placing orders today. The first lunch served will be on Friday, September 8th. Students do not need to participate in all 27 lunch dates. Choose the dates and lunch options that work for your family. Lunch orders and payments will only be accepted on myFoodDays.com. The deadline to purchase lunch is Friday, September 1st by 12pm. There will be an opportunity to change lunch orders once all 6 lunch options have been rotated.
Parents can contact the school nurse, Katie Stirlen at kstirlen@d181.org for ingredient related questions. Ingredients are also listed on oakpto.org.
Volunteers are essential to make this lunch-in program successful. Parents can sign up on myFooddays.com (under volunteer tab). Please limit your sign ups (4) to allow all families an opportunity to volunteer. If there are open slots after the ordering deadline (9/1), parents may sign up for more. The lunch-in program can not happen without volunteers.
Please consider signing up on myfooddays.com.
Lastly, we want all Oak students to have an equal opportunity to enjoy this fun lunch program. Contact the school office or the principal for financial assistance donated by the PTO.
Thank you for supporting Oak School PTO and our popular Lunch-In program.
